iKnowMom Terms of Use

Welcome to iKnowMom. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the iKnowMom mobile application and website at iknowmom.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by iKnowMom ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

iKnowMom is a parental financial monitoring service that allows parents and guardians to receive real-time notifications and exercise approval controls over their minor children's peer-to-peer financial transactions. We are not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution. We do not hold, move, or process money on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account. By registering, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any minor child profile you create within the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@iknowmom.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 In-App Purchases (iOS)

Subscriptions purchased through the iKnowMom iOS app are processed by Apple Inc. via In-App Purchase. Your purchase is subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Settings.

4.2 Web Subscriptions

Subscriptions purchased on iknowmom.com are processed by Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@iknowmom.com.

4.3 Refunds

For in-app purchases, refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies. For web subscriptions, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service to monitor any individual without their knowledge where required by law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service to any third party

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed to be used by parents on behalf of their minor children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Child profile data (name, age, phone number) is provided by the parent and is used solely to enable the monitoring features of the Service. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software within the Service are the property of iKnowMom or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content from the Service without our prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transaction notifications will be delivered in real time in all cases. Financial monitoring features depend on data provided by third-party services (e.g., Plaid) and may be subject to delays or inaccuracies outside our control.

iKnowMom is a monitoring and notification tool only. We are not responsible for any financial decisions made by you or your child based on information provided through the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, iKnowMom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iKnowMom and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Atlanta, Georgia.
